“This gave me chills. It is the spirit of our fighting soldiers/Marines that brings them so far. They inspire me, give me pride in our country and Josh, well he makes me want to be a better person everyday and I try really hard to do that. You have done so much for us already just by caring. I am glad to have you both as friends. Doing an event for Josh will be so helpful and appreciated. It is something I never expected and it will help in so many ways. I am not a taking person and this felt like you doing too much when you first told me. I would hate for us to be a burden. Â But after seeing you both with my son it lifted my spirits that you both care so much and see just how incredible he is and his drive to not give up. His motto from his therapist in California is "practice makes permanent" and he lives that every day. So thank you for planning this. I cannot tell you how much it will help with things I have to do in stages for Josh. How many of us can say we can live with such joy after such a severe injury? And the two of you are heroes as well because it is rare to be remembered once this much time has passed. Josh told me you made him feel like he was not forgotten. God bless you both.
Can you tell me more about it so I can share with Josh? Also, he loved those motorcycles in the video. His Harley is in his garage. It was one of his joys before being hurt.
Please know you are always welcome to come see the big guy. And my past life left little room to make friends so those new ones like the two of you are such a joy for me. It is something new. Sincerely, Josh and Christine”
